IS SELF LOVE REALLY IMPORTANT?
IS SELF LOVE REALLY IMPORTANT?
People say “charity begins at home”, I say that charity begins in mind, donate your mind some peace, acceptance and SELF LOVE. Are you happy? Do you love yourself? Be honest! I know most of you will answer no and it's pretty common... According to a recent report, only 5.3% of the world's population is happy and only 3% of the world's population love themselves. This is very surprising, right? Let me ask you some questions. Are you fat or too skinny? Are you dark? Are you bad in academics or sport? Aren't you able to make money? These are some questions and we judge ourselves from these questions mentioned above and decide not to love ourselves. Most of your problems might get solved if you start loving yourself. Loving yourself can result in less stress, personal growth, a boost in attractiveness as well as can result in better health.
According to a study it is proven that loving yourself removes the fear of being rejected and hence helps reduce stress and anxiety. Less stress and anxiety will keep you happy and motivated and hence self-love is important.“How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you.” If we love ourselves it makes us confident, and according to psychology confidence is the first thing another person notices is us, when we are confident, we feel that we are beautiful. The law of nature is as such when we feel that we are beautiful, others tend to feel the same due to the amount of confidence they see in us. Hence self-love boosts your confidence, resolving half of your issues.
Self-love leads to personal growth as well. When you love yourself you tend to be more confident as mentioned above, this confidence removes the mental obstacle/ blockage of your self-expression, you express yourself confidently leading to more communication, better bonding and personal development. That is one of the reasons why self-love is important.According to a physiological study, if you love yourself, you start to value yourself and have a better perspective towards life, keeping you mentally healthy and leading to a healthy and better life.
One anecdote to share I was bullied a lot, when I started to realize the importance of self, I started to love myself, I started to be confident and lastly, people accepted me as I am and stopped bullying me.
All in all, a very true quote sums up everything ”so many years of schooling yet nobody taught us how important it is to love ourselves” Accept yourself, forgive yourself and love yourself. I know you can!
